À venir...

The 2008 Tour de France Knit Along is nearly here...

The 95th Tour de France will be joined by the 2nd Knit Along as knitters and cyclists alike navigate the thrills and spills of 3500 kilometres over 21 stages, starting on 5th July 2008.

Signups will open in early June. In the meantime, you can start thinking of an appropriately French- or cycling-themed project, try some swatching, rack up some miles on your training bike, practice your vocabulaire Francaise, or enjoy this fly-through of the 2008 route. And check back for more updates closer to signups!

À bientôt!

Love the fly-by! Just the town names are magic. When, oh when, do I get to go live in a village with a name like Aurillac?

I thought of my project last night. It's on!

I'm so excited! I guess this means I'd better start gearing up and charting patterns for the me-sized gansey I'm planning to knit this time around (I figure it's a perfect followup to the wee gansey from last year).

Hello !
I'm not sure of the fact that I have all understand about your "tour de france knit along" & about your blog and its goals ( because i'm not very good in english), but it's really funny & pleasant!
Here, people don't realize that a lot of country whatch the Tour ; that's why I'm very surprised ! I was searching a new pattern in 'knitty' and I finished to find your blog.
To answer to your article of the 25 July 2007, I just want to add the "phildar" the french compagny is very a little bit expensive you know ; a lot of people buy the "cheval blanc" yarn (a european textil compagny)
you can find it on :
http://www.ute.fr/htm/catalogue.php

(we enjoy the Debbie Bliss yarn, and of course the Noro...)

Sorry for my bad english, I hope you'll understand ; Thanks for your projects & knit Tour

I just watched the fly-over of the 2008 route and noticed they had a video of the 2009 starting point. I LOVE that city and can't wait for the 2009 start!

Having said that, the 2008 tour will travel through some of my favourite places in France, so I can't wait for July 5th!
